Manali - Places to Explore
Though Manali has a historical importance from Hindu myth.The Town named after Hindu lawgiver Manu. it often consider the honeymoon paradise in India and very popular among young couples and to be honest I was one among them who prefers it as a best honeymoon destination.best time to visit October to March.
How to reach: Manali can be reach by nearest airport Bhuntar airport, 10 km from Kullu town, regular filghts are available from Delhi. through Railways there is no such close railway stations available Chandigarh junction is about 310 km & Kalka is 275 km away, in my opinion please book your tickets from Kalka Shimla railways to reach Shimla as it gives you majestic view of Shivalik rang then from Shimla book a car and reach Manali your 6 hrs. journey will be a treat to witness the majesctic view of mountains.
Manali is a package to tourists as the location itself an attraction covered with snowy mountains & beas river flowing by changing it sides. there are plenty of temples monestries and water falls are there to attract you. Hidimba Temple, Manu temple, Tibetan Monasteries
are among them.
Solang Valley: your manali trip will be incomplete if you wont come here, 35 km from manali ,this valley offers you breath taking view of snowy mountains and of course the adventure sports like paragliding , skiing and snow scooter are the loved activities here. Rohtang Pass is another popular place for tourist but is mostly opens from May to November other time it is closed due to heavy snowfall.
